Optimum fender strat pickup height

They are fairly low output at 5.65k/5.9k/5.56k so any lower and they sound pretty thin. DarrellV What's up, Doc? I believe this is to level out the volume output. I like to set my pickups 8/64” on bass side and 6/64” on treble side. I’m not sure what that is in mms. WebWe recommend the following pickup height for hot pickups like Fender Texas Specials, Fender Fat 50’s, Lindy Fralin’s Vintage blues etc: Bass side: 3.3mm. Treble side: 2.6mm. For softer pickups like Fender Custom ’69, you can raise the pickups closer to the strings. Bass side: 2.6mm. Treble side: 2.2mm. Start with the bass side.
