My rear window defroster wire came loose
WebAug 17, 2024 · Not sure what caused it but I had to replace my rear window already due to the wiring! I found the wire hanging loose and it looked like all the wires in the glass were burnt up.. On the bright side it took less than 5 days for Ford to get the new window and install it. Carefully remove wire from tab. 2- Ensure tab is flat and makes complete contact with mounting surface. 3- Open Cleaner/Activator Towelette by pulling both sides of protective packet at the point at the top of package. Fold packet back to use. Towelette is attached to packet, do not remove. WebMay 16, 2005 · The wire you're referring to that fell off is just the connector.It plugs right back on,there should be one on each side of the window.The defroster lines are actually molded onto the window...and then that plug is what makes contact when the switch is turned on.
