No axle is bomb proof if you apply too much skinny pedal and spin the tires till they catch. Dropping in a "good" dana 44 will set you back 3600$+ (look up G2 axle) For that cost you could do a 60 or a R50 from Tera Flex. Web22 nov. 2014 · Wrapped a heavy chain over the far outer end of the axle and beam and placed a 20 ton jack under the differential. The CJ came out perfect the first try. The J10 had to be done twice to get it right. Okay that's good so I have a chance of getting it. Could you go a little more in depth? Was the axle on the truck when you did it? Web31 okt. 2011 · You need a dana 80 to make your truck a dually. The axle is wider to make up for the offset of a dually wheel if I remember correctly. Superduty dana 80's from 99' to 04' all have an 8 x 170 bolt pattern which is what you have right now as well. I'm pretty sure a dana 80 from a cab and chassis will work if you move the spring perch's out ... Web19 mei 2024 · I understand Dynatrac is working on this but was hoping someone has already tore these apart so at minimum get axle thickness. Icing on the cake would include strength in bending. Jeep and Dana Splicer claim better steel and I recall from the diagram saying 8% stronger at certain points. Web25 apr. 2012 · Having said that, unless you're trying to keep the truck original (which adding disc brakes is not), then going to an open knuckle dana 44 or 60 that already has disc brakes is the better and easier way to go.
