WebFortunately when miasma does get out through an open door it'll dissipate pretty quickly, since it's cut off from the source as soon as the door is closed (ie as soon as the dwarf using the door moves to another tile). WebThere was a convient bug at the time where they wouldn't leave, if they couldn't path to the fortress, which lead to the 2nd failure as a whole mass of traders/liasons were murdered by cougers up on the surface, and then the (literal hundreds) of ghosts caused a tantrum spiral. WebThe average dwarf will attain Master-status in their weapon within a year or two of dedicated training/sparring. Once a squad is trained, deactivate the squad and remove them from all barracks; the haulers will then go about their business as per usual. And annihilate any were that they run across. Beyond that, I've found that unless you're running a mod where vermin remains can be used in a reaction, the best way to handle them is to create a 1-tile pit (bonus points if the tile has been exposed to light to counteract miasma generation) and either occasionally have your dwarfs toss the vermin remains in it ... WebThe reason to have soldiers doing the hauling is that they become desensitized to the sight of dead bodies the more deaths they've seen. Assuming you chose dwarves with good stress-resistant personalities for your soldiers, they'll hopefully get desensitized before going crazy. Once they're desensitized, you're home free.

The problem isn't that they are reporting a crime; the problem is that they are reporting the same crime, over and over and over again, to the point that they won't do anything else. Specifically, they won't move the corpse away, so the cycle never stops. cn tower city
